The Clerii think they're turning Japanese

In Reunion Files, director Tetsuya Nomura said that Tifa is Cloud's lover. Koibito, Japanese for "lover" was the inarguable term he used in the Japanese text.

The word koibito scares Cleris fans to their very core. To counter such horrible truths being spewed from Nomura's mouth, they have decided to create multiple forum accounts and personalities pretending to be Japanese.

Despite constant warnings and explanations from authorized sources such as dictionaries, Japanese communities and Japanese speaking members, they have neglected to come face to face with the truth ever since.

Instead, the Cleris burrow themselves deeply under rocks, clinging onto the notion that koibito is two words instead of one. According to their newly created Japanese pretend-friends who happen to lack any and all knowledge of Japanese, of course.
