Now, as mentioned last time, Anastar et. all have no problems adopting even the most convoluted or crazy notions if it somehow, in their mind, supports their totally canon idea that Cloud and Aerith are the one true couple of all time and reality, in perpetuity throughout the universe. To this end, statues, the feng shui of a room, and even the arrangement of unattended objects can be used in their crusade to convert or destroy the Cloti heretics. This time, they fixated on a flower.
Now, in the various worlds of fandom, there are those who like to treat the world as depicted in movies and television as real for the purpose of determining the physical capabilities of the parties depicted onscreen. These are the people who will pixel scale a photon torpedo and calculate the tonnage it imparts because to them it means something in universe, but even they understand the concept of a 'continuity error'. I'll presume everyone out there on the internet either knows or can find what that means, so I won't bother everyone who does know for the ten or so who have magically resisted this knowledge.
Likely, under any other situation, Anastar would probably admit that the flower was an animation mistake, something not caught in filming or editing, but because it can be used, however weakly, as Clerith proofz, it is pure gold in her eyes.
So, if for some reason known only to the elder beings and Nomura the single flower is not a continuity error and Cloud did go get it between his waking and Tifa's, what does entail for the story of FF7AC? As Anastar says, it implies that Cloud, upon waking up, left Edge and (assuming, as they always do, that the flower shown must be from Aerith's church) drove the distance from Edge to the former sector five, picked a single flower, then drove home with this flower. Now, they see this as a Clerith act (IE- "he picked a flower! It must be for Aerith"), but think about it for a moment. He went to go get a flower, then brought it back to someone's bedside, and then continued to watch over that someone until they awoke. If Cloud did pick this flower after waking up, the only reasonable assumption to make is that he picked it for Tifa.
Of course, there's another continuity error that rears its ugly head in this scene, specifically that it is the first time Tifa's Cloudy Wolf ring appears in the movie (Go ahead and check. I'll wait). Now, using the same logic that Anastar used, we must conclude that the reason it is in one scene but not the next is because Cloud placed it on Tifa's hand between scenes. Which would mean that Cloud proposed to Tifa during the course of the movie, and that the movie isn't actually a love story between a man and a dead woman.
Of course, that would be Cloti, and Cloti can't be canon, so of course it's a continuity error! And Cloudy Wolf could refer to anyone! And Tifa stole the ring besides!
